The Council of Chief State School Officers (CCSSO) and Horizon Research, Ic. convened a two-day conference in February 2006 for leaders of professional development with teachers. The conference, attended by 220 leaders in mathematics and science education from over 40 state education agencies as well as leaders from national frofessional organizations and federal agencies, focused on "Bridging the Gap between Research and Practice in Professional Development." This Web Site provides conference presentations and key research papers, articles, tools, and references concerning quality professional development in math and science education.
